Help with syncronizing view of slides on monitor and projector

When presenting a series of slides (song lyrics) I start in 'normal view'
with the slide thunbnails in the left pane and the first slide in the main
window and then hit F5 to project the slide on the projector. I advance to
the next slide using the down arrow. The slide projected on the projector
advances to the next slide but the slide in the main window and the
high-lighted slide in the thumbnails remains the same. As I advance through
additional slides using the down arrow the thumbnail and main window slide
remains the same even though the projected slide advances properly.

How do I configure PowerPoint to advance the thumbnails and the main window
as I advance the slides projected? I am using PowerPoint 2007.

It was suggested that I try presentation mode, but that did not solve the
issue.

Hi,

PowerPoint does not always keep the design views in-sync with the slide
show. You need a software like PowerShow
(http://officeone.mvps.org/powershow/powershow.html) that keeps PowerPoint
design views synchronized with the slide show.
