Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.

Office is not legally available for download from any site of which I'm
aware. WHere did you get it?
What do you do just before you get the message? What do you click? What is
the title of the dialogue box that is asking for a password?

and have tried to set up my
computer to use outlook instead of outlook express - I am asked for a
password, but I have never set one up and the one I use for express
does not work.
What do you do just before you get the message? What do you click? What is
