Is there anyone that would have the time or the will to talk to me in real
time, like IM or something.Im a reasonably intelligent dude, but this
frontpage has me beat! I reckon talking to someone would be cheaper than
kicking seven shades of shi#e out of this computer!!

What is the problem or issue that you are having, as without knowing that, why would anyone agree to
go one on one with you?

I suppose, but there are a few problems! Everything looks fine on the page
when its being worked on, but now ive p0ublished it there are no pictures,
the font is different, the position of everything is all over the place,
there is no link bar on any of the pages and the text jumps about when i
resize the window!!! Other than that-its fine!Im sure its just a case of
adjusting a few things, but i guess im not sure where to start looking!

As an alternate, I would suggest you stop by your
favorite bookstore and pick up a copy of "Microsoft Front
Page 200x Inside Out" by Jim Buyens. Be sure to get the
version of the book that covers your version of Front
Page.

Spend time with the book so you don't trash your computer!

You could also read through old posts on this newsgroup
as your listed problems have been covered and covered and
then covered again).

Some general comments based on some of the things you
have said:

1. Your first step in creating a web site must be to
create a Front Page Web (see Front Page help).

2. Layout the placement of your web page content in
Tables (see Front Page help). Do NOT use Absolute
positioning as it is not supported in the same manner in
all browsers.

3. Pictures must be imported into your Front Page web
(even if they are stored elsewhere on your computer)
before using them in your web pages.

4. Does your host support the Front Page Extensions? If
so, you should be using the "http" method of publishing.
Again see Front Page help. Some features of Front Page
require the use of Front Pages Extensions. Forms is one
example.

5. If your host does not support the Front Page
Extensions, your publishing will be a bit more involved
on your part. You must make certain that all files within
your Front Page Web are FTPed. There are some "hidden"
folders that also need to be published. You guessed it.
See Front Page help.

Come back here with specific detailed questions if you
need some more assistance. Good luck with your adventure!

If you give a link to the site we can give more detailed help regarding
specific problems, though, based on your summary, I think Rick has outlined
the solutions.

Thanks for that. My web pages are made up with text boxes, some with text and
others with pictures-my friend says he can see some pictures on the web but
not all.Is it to do with this? My frontpage extensions are enabled ok with my
host. When i view these pages in preview they look fine, so can i get the
text boxes to stay put somehow? Without having to re-write the whole site
again!!
