I have been accessing office (word, power point, ect) for many months and
have had no problems. Today when I open any office program a pop up reads
....Microsoft word has not been installed for the current user. please run
setup to install the application. I have the disk and have uninstalled office
and re installed it and no change...please help

Just experienced the same issue with an WinXP Home laptop & Office XP.
Nothing has been changed on the laptop - and this is affecting only on
of the two users setup on the laptop?

Anyone? I'm quite desperate for a fix or a solution

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I just started with this problem 2 days
ago. But it's been almost three months. So I was just wondering. I'm
desperate. It's so wierd. I've been using this program for a long time.

This was the response to another question, but it applies here. I am toast
because I don't have the disks to reinstall, but hopefully these fixes will

why does my 2003 office keep wanting to reinstall itself. i usually only
install word and frontpage but i installed everything this last time with my
new hd. but even before new hd about once a month Office wants to reinstall
itself saying that office is not installed for "current" user. i'm the only
one that uses this pc or am the only one that use's ms office on this pc. i'v
done the repair thing and that fixes the problem but only temporarily because
in about a monthor so it comes up with the "current" user thing. i don't mind
the repair install but what is wrong? why does this keep reacurring? i can
not find any viruses or trojans or worms with the many different scan
software that i have. all updates are current. must be something amiss but
will continue repair untill i get something concrete (lol). Thank You for
any usable info.
