Your help on the following will be much appreciated.....
I am creating a database that I can track documents for review in.
Documents are numbered like this:
[Plant Area]-[Discipline Code]-[Document Type]-[Sequence Number]
where the plant area, discipline code and document type are look up fields
to their own table. There is also a document description field which is the
document title on the form.
I want to create a process where when a document is entered via the form
above, a checklist is created for people who need to review this document and
I am stumped as to how to do this. Some people are responsible for a few
different areas and disciplines and have a few keywords that would show up in
the document title. I would like a check list so that I can mark when each
person has reviewed the document but I guess this is not essential (just to
make things easier on me!!). Even if I could just generate a drop down list
that displays only the people that are responsible for that plant area,
discipline code or have a keyword from the document title.
Clear as mud.......?????
