HELP..................

Hi everybody

I am trying to assist a friend who has got herself in a pickle..............

Large transcribing of records project farmed out to various volunteers
She now has their data entry back

A couple of computer upgrades after she started her files are all over the
place and messy...

I have managed to extract all but four.....

These four appear on floppy discs either in Access2003 or Access 2007 format
BUT with a .ldb file [1 kb] also
When you try to open these files in Access you find they are linked and
asking for a further file which should be on either A: or C: but is not
there.............

I see the accbd or mdb files are of a reasonable size and so seem to have
data in them ?????
Is there any was I can access them without the required link file?

Thanks

You might try creating a blank Access database, and then try to import the
files in question. If that doesn't work, you may find that you can import
them into Excel. Obviously, it's worth using the 2007 versions of Access or
Excel if there's a chance you might be dealing with 2007 files. Hope that
helps!
