Hi,

I am trying to set up a database to be used by students to look up food
composition information. The students need to search for information but
don't need to input data into the database. The fields will be Food type (ie
beverages, cakes), food (ie beer, sponge cake), mass, protein, fat, carb,
energy and iron.

I am aware I will need to use queries and forms, however I am not sure how
to create the following. I want a student to be able to use a drop down box
to select the food type eg beverage. Once the food type is selected I would
like all the beverage records displayed for the student to select the
appropriate food eg beer. Once food is selected I would like the form to
present the nutritional information (eg mass, protein, fat, carb, energy and
iron).

Could someone please point me in the right direction. I am sure Access has
the capability of searching and presenting results via sub queries.

Thank you!

There are a gazillion WEBSITES that do this already. If you think
yours is better than the rest then do us all a favor an write a
webservice.

MDB? This isn't the 1990s.
