I have a customer who had Outook 2k3 Pro and we upgraded to Outlook 2k7 Pro
There is one email account (pop3) configured.
If he goes to the drafts folder and clicks on an email and copies the body
text and pastes it to a new email and sends it the receiver never receives
it. If you look in the sent items it says it has sent out. If i request a
delivery receipt i never get one. I have unistalled and reinstalled office
2007 i ran all the updates for the office suite and windows XP updates. The
same thing happens when i try to foward that email from the drafts folder to
an email account.

Steps i have tried

Unistall / reinstall
All updates
Virus Scan from a live cd
Used different email address to send to
Searched the internet for a possible solution.

How else do you go to troubleshoot this issue?

Grab a network sniffer like Wireshark and monitor the SMTP conversation and
once you verify the message has been handed to the SMTP server, contact the
ISP to continue tracing the message to see where it disappears.

Brutally honest: If you've never used a packet sniffer before and read a
packet trace, no, I can't explain what to do. It's a bit more complex than
most things.

But, heck, you didn't do this:

On the problem machine, Exit out of Outlook.
Verify it isn't running by checking the Processes tab in Task Manager for
outlook.exe.
Once it's not running, go to Start - Run and run outlook /safe
Try to reproduce the problem.
