Hidden column password protected

Is there a way to figure out a password?

I have a spreadsheet provided by an employee no longer with the company that has a hidden column that is password protect which contains formulas I need to update. Without the password the value of the workbook will be lost because I cannot recreate it without the original formula intelligence.
