hidden file at start up

I have a file that open automatically at startup. i have a second file that
is a data source list that supports the first file. how do I get both files
to open at start up but the data source file is hidden.

How do you get the first file to open at start up?

If you have it in your XLStart folder, you can do the same thing with the
support workbook.

After you open the support workbook (and it's in the activewindow), click on
Window|Hide.

Then close excel. You'll be prompted to see if you want to save this workbook
in a hidden state. Answer yes.
