hidden folders in favorites list

One of my students changed the properties of his folder in the favorites list
to hidden.
Internet Explorex Version 6.0.2900
He is no longer able to find the folder.
How do we access the folder to change the properties back?

I don't see any connection with Office but..

You access the folder from Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer)
and uncheck the Hidden attribute.
Ensure the Explorer view is set to show all files.
