hidden section breaks

Word2003 , window 2000
i have a document wherby when i scroll down i noticed that
sections numbers changes without seeing the dotted lines
for section marks. i want to delete all sections from my
document.

It is generally easier to see section breaks in Normal view. You can use the
Browse arrows to jump from one section to the next. You can also use Find
and Replace to find section breaks (^b) and replace them with nothing. Note
that removing section breaks will almost certainly change your formatting in
some sections. If you have multiple columns anywhere in the document,
section breaks are necessary.

Are you sure you have section breaks? Is Word's status bar showing multiple
sections?

Can you see the section breaks in Normal view? Do you have nonprinting
characters displayed so that you would see them even if they were Hidden
(not sure you can even do that with section breaks)?
