hidding text in word

I see that if I delete a paragraph then the paragraph indexes readjusts and
that can be a mess to track.
So if I have:
paragraph 11
paragraph 12
paragraph 13

and I delete paragraph 12 then paragraph 13 will become paragraph 12.

So, is there a way to hide (like collapse in dhtml) in word so that I could
toggle paragraphs between hide and show /
