hiding columns

G

Gabrielle

I'd like to be able to hide columns in the resource sheet
to enable me to print the columns I require on one page.
I understand how to hide a column in the edit menu but I
don't know how to get it back. Can anyone help??

Right mouse click on the column header to see "hide" column. As you do
that, notice just above that menu is the "insert" column command. You
can find this in Help by asking the "answer wizard" that question.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Thanks for the answers that were posted to this question!
However, when I insert the column I need to remember what
the Field Name was then re-type the Title. I was expecting
this to work as it does in Excel. Is there an easier way?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

You might like to see FAQ Item: 11. Hidden Column. You still have to
remember the customized name of the Column. Have a look at your backup to
remind you (you do have one don't you?) and go to the edit dialog as
described in the FAQ and you should see the name you gave your field.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://www.mvps.org/project/

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
