Is there any trick to use that would prevent spam robots from finding
an email address related to a mailto: link on a site?
For example a "Contact the webmaster" might have the link mailto:
[email protected] which sooner or later attracts spam to the
address [email protected]. I just changed the alias from
[email protected] to [email protected] to stop getting spam at
the former address , and I was *shocked* that it only took 3 days before
I got the first spam at [email protected]
Right now, the only thing I know to do is to periodically change the
aliases as in the above example, which does cut it down a lot, at least
for a while. But -- is there a good trick out there?
