i believe you are talking about the BCC feature, which is called Blind Carbon Copy. this hides all the emails addresses from every one else to see them. is that what your talking about

No it is not the BCC. I can send a message to anyone and
the from email address is all *************** where the
person getting the message does not see my address.

When typing a normal message and doing a send, (I can even
send myself a message and get the same thing) the From
address line turns into ************** to where it use to
be my actual email address.

I am not using the BCC option.

Original Poster is not talking about Outlook. He's talking about Outlook
Express. He's posting in the wrong group.
This is a group to support Outlook from the Office group of programs.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and is a quite different
program despite its similar name..

You will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this to an
outlook express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x

A good website for information on OE is:
http://www.tomsterdam.com/
