We are using the security settings for Groups and Users
to deny access to any views that contain cost data below
a certain grade level within the organization. By
customizing these templates and/or creating custom groups
you can protect your salary information pretty well.
What I have just said depends on whether you are using
the Project Server part of the tool. Within Project
itself, I am not aware of anything that would lock
certain columns from being displayed to the savvy project
user. You might want to check on the VBA newsgroup to
see if someone has posted anything to effect as I it
would require a macro to do something like that.
