hiding summary tasks with no groups and sort by start

Tom

To create a waterfall like chart, I sorted tasks by start date and without
keeping outline structure. However, with no groups, summary tasks are also
shown. Is there a way to customize a view so that the summary tasks are not
shown? In addition, can I do this without using groups? When implementing
groups, project puts the groups together and shows a yellow highlight to
separate the groups. I'm just too finicky :)

Thanks

There isn't a filtered called no summary... so i made one. I got this to work:

In filter definition window:

- uncheck show related summary rows
- enter field name: Summary
- select test: Equals
- enter value: No

The above settings got rid of the summary tasks in the view. Thanks for your
direction.
