"hiding" tasks rows from a view

While searching MS Office help on an unrelated topic I stumbled int
what I recall was a way to hide a task row or rows from a view, but
was on a mission to solve the other issue and didn't take notes. I don'
believe it was using filters. Anything jump to mind

Or it could be by collapsing the tasks' summary.
