Hiding the Little Blue x's on shapes

Hi,

I'm creating a process map and I am using arrow connectors for my
shapes. The problem is I can't really tell they are arrows because of
the little blue x's on each side of the shape. Is there any way I can
hide these x's or otherwise make the arrows more apparent?
