Hi Folks,

I want to do some conceptual diagramming. I need to make the diagrams
somewhat complex, so they probably won't all fit on one page. I'd
like to be able to have a certain component in the upper level
diagrams represent more detailed charts in lower level ones. Is there
any way to link these kinds of things together in Visio? That is, if
I have one box in the top level which represents "Institutional
Factors", I'd like to be able to click it and go to another page, or
other area, which represents all the little boxes, etc, which make up
"Institutional Factors".

Perhaps I'll just do it with a number of different pages in my
diagram, but it seems like something that would be in enough demand
that there should be a nice way of doing this. But I haven't found it
(yet).

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Allie

a. You can either use hyperlinks
select the shape
menu Insert -> Hyperlinks
The linked document(s) appears on the shape's right-click menu

or b. double click behaviour
select the shape
menu Format -> Behaviour -> Double Click
and select the Goto Page option.
This, of course, can only support one target document.
