High Definition Video in PowerPoint?

I was just asked by a client if PowerPoint supports High Definition Video.

I'm at a loss.

While I've viewed High Def Quicktime files on my Mac, I have no idea if a PC
can effectively run these files (as an MPEG2 or WMV?) and then in turn, if
PPT can display them natively.

PC can play HD Video perfectly, but those files are huge, PP supports
mepgx and WMV files.
