I would like to have a cell automatically highlighted in red when a due date has not been met, so that it is easily seen.

E.g. - I have a due date of March 25th, 2009 written into a cell. When the real time date changes to March 26th, 2009 I would like that cell to change from white to red.

Thank you.

Use conditional formatting. Assuming the cell is A1, with A1 selected,
choose Conditional formatting from the menu, select formula, enter:
=a1<today() then set up the format.
