Highlight changes

Is there a way where I can set a sheet when there is changes to a cell, the
cell will be highlighted in colour ie. light blue.

Something similiar with track changes, but insted of inserting comment it
changes the cell colour. Of course it would be better it the track changes
comment is there too.

Thanks.

Put the following event macro in the worksheet code area:

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
Target.Interior.ColorIndex = 37
End Sub

Because it is worksheet code, it is very easy to install and automatic to use:

1. right-click the tab name near the bottom of the Excel window
2. select View Code - this brings up a VBE window
3. paste the stuff in and close the VBE window

If you have any concerns, first try it on a trial worksheet.

If you save the workbook, the macro will be saved with it.

To remove the macro:

1. bring up the VBE windows as above
2. clear the code out
3. close the VBE window

I would add a small before_Close event macro in order to erase all those
colored cells, because when you save and close that WB and open it again, and
you make changes to the same(!) cell(s) - which have been changed before -
you won't know which has been change the other day vs. the new changes.
