Highlighting background color

I'm using MS Project Pro 2007 (SP2). I format the Font background color,
save, publish, and check-in the plan. But the next time I open the plan from
the server, the background formatting is gone. Is that because I’m applying
this change to an enterprise view?
Any suggestions on how I can make the formatting stick?

Try posting on the microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup (forum).
