Highlighting connections

Is it possible in an organizational chart to only show connected items? My
diagram is getting too complicated to easily read - so I am looking for a way
to select an item and only show the pathways that are connected to that item.

Have a look at layers. If you put different parts of the diagram on
different layers then you can on and off the visibility of certain
layers to suit what you want to look at.
