Hit Counter / DOG SLOW AND DOESN'T INCREMENT

Anybody have this problem? I don't understand why it takes forever to load,
only to not increment by 1. I used the Import option, hit counter, and
selected one of their counters. But it doesn't work...

Because you are depending upon
their server to increment the count.

Why use the FrontPage counter??
