Hit Counter Help Please

Anybody have time to look at a FP custom hit counter and tell me what I'm
doing wrong? The web needs to have two counters, and I'm editing the website
on the hosting server.

I've had the first hit counter up and running for awhile at
http://www.wrcog.org/fhhud/index.htm, lower left corner of page. This
counter is working fine. It uses a custom image named htcthud.gif, located
at http://www.wrcog.org/fhhud/images/htcthud.gif.

I recently added a parallel Spanish version of the website -
http://www.wrcog.org/fhhud/espanol/index.htm - and wanted to include a
second hit counter to measure visits to this version of the website. I saved
the original custom image as a new image named htctesp.gif and moved it into
the same directory as this index page to simplify references to the file.
When I edit the Hit Counter component properties for this page, it does not
recognize it. I also tried referencing the custom image as
http://www.wrcog.org/fhhud/espanol/htctesp.gif, with no luck.

I'm sure I'm screwing up somewhere, but I can't find it. The two custom
images are identical in all properties except name. All suggestions are
appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Is the Spanish folder a FP subweb or just a standard folder?

If the folder is not a subweb, then you maybe having a issue with 2 index.htm.cnt file being written
to the _private folder.

A better option over the FP Hit Counter is to check with your web host to see if they offer access
to a application that allow you to view the server log files for your site or if they allow access
to the raw log files via FTP.

Thanks, Thomas - That was it. After I converted the folder to a subweb, I
was able to set up both counters fine. I understand what you're saying about
the log files - I'm not a fan of hit counters. These are for others in the
organization who insist on a simple answer, even if the answer is wrong.
Thanks again,
Jenny
