Hit Counter

The FP hitcounter is a bit like a speedometer - I have a
site on the internet called www.countycommercials.net and
I seem to loose count of how many hits I have had in a day.

I want to use a hitcounter with a source finder, so I know
where the hit came from.

I do not want to pay anything - there are lots of freebies
flying around where you can see stats etc...

Any links??

Hit counters are not accurate.

If you have access to your raw log files you can do a google search for
"free log analyzer".

Your log files will give you the most detailed information about your
website hits and visits and where they came from.

I use http://gostats.com (note no www) - not bad if you don't mind the
adverts (but an ad/popup blocker works on most of them..!) There is a free
version and a paid version, the free one works ok for me but YMMV of
course.

You may also be able to access your stats from your host, on mine this
isdone by adding /stats to the end of your domain name, but I just tried
it on yours and it doesn't work, your host will be able to advise.

Gostats is useful because you can block your own machine/system from being
counted so you don't count yourself every time you look at your own site,
not all counters do this.
