hit counter

When I add a Front Page Hit Counter to my page the path to the location of
the web on my computer is imported into the hit counter code. Naturally the
counter will not work. How do I prevent this.
Thank you
Ron

Make sure you have your web open, then open the page, then insert the hit
counter.

That is the very way I insert the counter. The code looks fine after I insert
the counter on the web on my computer. When I FTP the page to the server with
the counter in it -- it inserts the path to the location of the web on my
computer. I have tried everything I can think of -- and am lost. Any help is
welcomed.
Thanks
Ron

The magic letters are FTP.
The server "must" have FrontPage extensions, and you "must" publish using
http:// for the FrontPage hit counter to work.

The FP extensions are active on the server. I do the FTP. I do use http://
when I upload the files.

If you have used ftp:// you have broken the extensions.
Have your host reset them / repair them and then publish using http://

You see the hit counter working the page needs to be published to a server
with the extensions enabled.
