Hmmm ... Activating Office 2007 Disabled!?

Ok - I'm completely dead in the water after having to reinstall my Beta
version of Office 2007 ...

I could go back to my purchased copy of Office 2002, but it was an Upgrade
version and the app I upgraded from is long gone. If I do find it, I'd have
to reinstall both packages to get back to work at some poinbt in the future.

I can disallowing new downloads of Beta at some point - preferably when the
product is actually available for purchase - but disallowing previously
downloaded versions from reactivating?

Nice job MS.

Microsoft lost your CD's?!?!?!?!?!? Anyway, if you look back thru the
messages an "out" is provided for the Beta activation.

Well - I have my software and key and have successfully reinstalled it, but
without a reactivation I remain dead in the water ... if there's a workaround
in the previous posts I haven't found it yet!

Ok - I see the fix and thanks for the heads-up!

Just snagged this

Quoted below

I borrowed the following from another post.

I finally got my copy of B2TR copy of Office 2007 to Activate. Here's
what I
did:

If you're doing a fresh intall, use this product key, as it doesn't require
Activation:

RQCRJ-FCTYM-V3PDF-GRD46-9YHXQ

This key comes from the KB Article:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/925098

If you've already installed, then follow the instructions at:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/925098

Specifically, "Method2".

If you're running x64, the Registry Key they mention isn't quite right. Use
the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Registration

The solution as you've mentioned doesn't work with the online downloaded
version, rather, it works if you have the installation disc as the downloaded
version doesn't ask you for any product key for activation.

Microsoft has closed the server for online activation as posted by many
other posts.

Any problems, simply uninstall and don't use it again! I enjoy beta
testing, but when something doesn't work: uinstall and get back to your
normal routine. There's something here that everyone can learn.
