Home and Student - missing Outlook

Richard

If I upgrade from 2003 to the new Home and Student does the 2003 Outlook
remain or do I lose that program since Home and Student pulled Outlook (a
very bad decision, IMO). What does MS intend owners of Home and Student
intend the user to use for email, etc?

Many people who are getting Office 2007 are getting it on a new Vista computer that has Windows Mail and Calendar. Very few home users use the more advanced Outlook calendar functions. You can retain your Outlook 2003 but you will lose the ability to use Word as the editor.

If you're using Vista you can use the new Mail program, if you're using XP
you can use Outlook Express.

There are quite a few other email clients and newsreaders available, most of
them are, in some ways, better than Outlook or Outlook Express and many are
free.
