Should my home button point to www.mysite.com

Will work

or www.mysite.com/index ?

Won't work because the browser will be looking for a folder named index
Instead use the full file name www.mysite.com/index.html or default.html which ever
applies.

You can also use a relative link by using insert hyperlink and browsing to your home page
in the hyperlink dialog.

I'm sorry, I guess I did not make myself clear. Presently my home button
points to:

http://www.aquamoonaquariums.com/index.htm

This will show up in the address bar when you access it by hitting the home
button.

If you just type in

http://www.aquamoonaquariums.com

just that shows up in the address bar. When doing the properties of the
home button I can set it to link to the ../index.htm or just the .com. Does
it really make any difference? Is one way better for search engines, etc.

I am also having trouble with my hit counter. See post above.

Hi Carol,

If you link as
<a href="http://www.you.com">link text</a>
or
<a href="http://www.you.com"><img border="0" src="HomeButton.gif" alt="Your
main keyword"></a>
it will help you a bit with the search engines. The idea is to leave out
index.htm

Cheers,
Jon
