Will the new Office 2007 Home/Student edition allow the installation on 3
computers as the older Office 2003 Academic edition did?

I have looked but the EULA is not available there as far as I can see so I
have no clue on the number of computers available under the license.

My understanding is that the 2007 Microsoft Office Home/Student edition will allow three installations along the same lines as the
Office 2003 Student & Teacher's Edition.
