Horizontal lines

Juli

I am writing a long document and for my own information
have separated somne paragraphs with a 1/2" long double
line. They have changed into single lines across the paper
and I cannot get rid of them. Can't cut or delete. Can't
move them down to cut and paste information above them. I
am desperate and would appreciate your suggestions.
Thanks,
Juli

Hi, Juli. Those lines are bottom borders on your paragraphs. To remove, double-click on a paragraph (or press Ctrl+A to select the whole document, if you want to remove all borders at once), then click on Format | Borders and Shading | Borders tab | None. If you don't want Word to create these paragraph borders for you, click on Tools | Autocorrect Options | Autoformat As You Type tab | uncheck the "Border lines" box.

It worked! Thanks so much. I've used Word for 8 years and
never had that happen.
