Often in the middle of working with any document, the horizontal ruler
becomes inactive. It's still there on the screen, but I can't use it for
anything and it doesn't update when I click into different paragraphs. To
reactivate the ruler, I have to minimize the document and restore. Or, if
that doesn't work (which is quite often), I have to close the document (not
necessarily Word itself) and then reopen. Any idea what may be causing this
and how to stop it? Thanks for the help.
