Horizontal ruler is smaller than the page

Does anybody know why the horizontal ruler would be
smaller than the page indicated in print layout or print
preview? I tried to reduce the right margin but that
makes for more page exceeding the ruler.

help!

Just found out that it's because I have comments in the

body of the document....

No but I am displaying comments which accounts for the
