Horizontal Scrol Bar for Tasks

When I view my list of contacts with a large number of columns, Outlook
places a horizontal skrol bar to assit in viewing all the data not being
shown to the right of the viewing window. When I view my task list that has
more columns than can be viewed in a single window pane, the horizontal
scroll bar does not appear. As a result, all the columns to the right are
compressed together into unreadable field names. Is there a way to add or
tunr the horizontal scrol bar on? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You,
