Horizontal & Vertical rulers missing in Word 2000

Hello,
I am using Word 2000 and in the Print Layout both the top and side rulers are missing. I went to Tools. Options and the the Vertical Ruler is checked. How do I get the rulers to show up in the print layout? Thanks!

If you have Ruler checked on the View menu and "Vertical ruler" on the View
tab of Tools | Options, then make sure you are actually in Print Layout
view, which is the only one that displays the vertical ruler.
