Needer of Help

What is a host or a server? For example, would Iserv be a host?
Thus if I need to talk to the "host" about the e-mail address, I would have
to speak with a representative from Iserv?

Or do I really have this whole thing messed up???

I think you have it correct, if they are the people that where your web site is hosted.
