Hosting My Own Web

Workinghard

I have been functional with fp for some time as long as I have good hosting
service. Its time now for me to try to host my web page myself. I have XP
professional and have installed the iis and have an inetpub directory. Now I
am not sure whats next. Is there a good place to start to learn how to
effectively host my own frontpage web?

Suggest you stick with the good hosting service. There's a lot to know about securing your web hosted on your own machine...AND...you will be limited to 10 concurrent connections.

Not unless you're ready to buy a server / machine to use as a dedicated server.

The average person who tries to use their "home machine" as a server, manages to stay online for
about 10 minutes.

Better confer with your ISP first and see if they will allow you to serve
web pages from your home....
