hot linked index entries

Does anyone know of a way to convert Word indexes to contain hot
linkable page numbers, in the same way that the TOC does? I would like
these links to carry over to the pdf version as well. TIA

No. This is a frequently requested feature, but it doesn't exist yet. You
can manually insert hyperlinks, but they'll all disappear as soon as the
index field is updated.
