Hotmail disconnect

Explorer download seems to have effected my outlook access to my hotmail
account. I get"Task Hotmail:Folder:Inbox Synchronizing Headers.'reported
error(0X8004005):'Outlook's request to server failed. The server responded ".'
What does this crap mean? How do I have to arrange it so two micrsoft
products don't screw each other up?

Hotmail stopped allowing outlook access years ago. They require you to use
the web site so you have to look at the ads. That's the price of a "free"
email service. Sounds like your luck just ran out.

There's more to the response than what is shown. MS stopped Hotmail beccause
they were under attack so often from hackers all over the world. So they set
up an account system for $20. a year so they could have a handle on
subscribers and be able to pinpoint those areas where hackers were creating a
lot of mischief. The Synchronization only works with MS OUTLOOK not Outlook
Express. MS gives you the sychronization feature and 30 MB (I think) of
storage space in addition to MYSPACE.com which is a pretty good deal. The
sychronization feature is a small speed bump but its worth the petty
annoyance.
