Hover buttons

Hi guys

I've read most of the postings on hover buttons and i get that we shouldn't
be using them anymore because java isn't always installed etc. BUT I have an
interesting problem. I have hover buttons on my intranet I manage at work.
All was working fine until this afternoon when all the hover buttons on the
home page turned to X's. I removed them and just put normal text hyperlinks
so that people could still access the other page but all the other pages with
hover buttons work perfectly fine!! I tried to re-create a new home page and
again the java stuff came up with X's. Can you explain why only the home
page of my intranet would have this problem but the rest of the pages are
fine??

Thanks :)

It is possible the referenced applets are corrupted.
