hover over top button, left changes to something else

The top page shared worked fine, so I added left page shared and bottom
shared, when I added buttons to left and bottom pages(both shared for all
pages), when testing , hover overleft home (for instance) top button changes
to hover colour, press left button , the top button changes colour, but in
both cases no change on left buttons?
