For some odd reason when I try to access system restore (which I badly need
to do) to correct things like the sudden loss of cookies and being unable to
access and re enable them (also active and direct x problems similar)I am no
longer recognised as the administrator (it is my own machine)I get told I do
not have sufficient permissions and told to sign back in as administrator,
which I am supposed to be! my printer has now stopped working and the
computer is not being able allowed by windows to accept dpwnloads to assist
in correcting problems, it is awful as my computer suppliers (Mesh) will not
help - I paid £800 only in Feb this year for the computer which came with
Windows XP media centre (No CD left with me and no floppy for backups either
although it was supposed to be included in the price)installed saying it is a
third party issue and so unless I can fix it myself I am left with it in a
gradually disintegrating state as I cannot afford to fork out more as I am a
disabled person as well as an oap, the loss of the printer to use and not
being able to go onto sites with my grandchildren and play games is just
about breaking my heart as I am virtually housebound and my computer links
were such a boon, esp re shopping and entertainment as I am rarely able to go
out let alone get into places. any help out there would be so welcome ( I am
fighting the tears now so please forgive any typing errors etc.
