How can I access the numeric value instead of the formula in an E.

I'd like to copy the numeric result of a formula in an Excel cell, but not
the formula. Is there an addressing mode or technique that does this?

Copy and Paste-Special-Values

Hi

It's either a pasting technique, instead of Ctrl V go menu Edit (or
rightclick) > Paste special and choose Values.

Or format the formula cell with menu Format (or rightclick) > Cells, pane
Protection, check Hidden in addition to Locked. Now protect your sheet with
Tools > Protection > Protect worksheet. Now a cell copy will contein its
value, not its invisible formula.

HTH. Best wishes Harald

You copy the cell to itself, and then stipulate to paste only the *values*.

Right click in the cell and choose "Copy".
Right click again and choose "PasteSpecial".
Click on "Values", then <OK>, then <Esc>.
