How can I add a new character to the office assistant

This depends on the version of Microsoft Office you have installed.

First, run Microsoft Office Setup. You can install the assistants which are included in your version of
Microsoft Office this way.

Since I don't have any other version of Microsoft Office, I have only provided instructions for Microsoft
Office 2003 Editions. These instructions should work for Microsoft Office XP (Microsoft Office 2002).

Click "Start" (a.k.a. the Start Menu).
Point to "Settings".
Click on (or point to) "Control Panel".
Double-click (or single-click) on "Add/Remove Programs" (for Windows XP users, it is called "Add or Remove
Programs").
Scroll down (if needed) and find "Microsoft Office ____ Edition 2003" and click on it.
Click on "Change".
The Microsoft Office 2003 Setup runs under Maintenance Mode.
Click "Add or Remove Features".
Check the box that says "Choose advanced customization of applications."
Expand "Microsoft Office" by clicking on [+] (plus) to the left of it.
Expand "Office Shared Features" by clicking on [+] (plus) to the left of it.
Expand "Office Assistant" by clicking on [+] (plus) to the left of it.
Now you can click the hard drive icon to the left of Office Assistant and choose "Run all from My Computer" to
install ALL Office Assistants.
OR
Click the hard drive icon to the left of each office assistant (for example "Clippit") and choose "Run from My
Computer".

When you are done making your customizations, click "Update".

NOTE 1: You might be asked for your Microsoft Office ____ Edition 2003 CD. Be sure to have it handy.
NOTE 2: Where "____" in "Microsoft Office ____ Edition 2003" is your edition of Microsoft Office. Example:
Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003

If you are looking for Microsoft Office 97 Assistants, you can find them here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/CD010226181033.aspx

They can also be found on the Microsoft Office 97 CD. Just run the Microsoft Office 97 Setup to add them.

Many users have suggested this site:

Installation instructions are provided on the site, however, I don't know what exact versions of Microsoft
Office support those Microsoft Agent characters listed.

AS for the Agents on the Agentry page, they are supported for Office 97
through 2003, allowing that you have installed the MS Agent engine first.
