How can I change default values of shapesheet parameters?

I am in Visio 2003. If I create a new shape, its Text Block Format
TextBkgndTrans value is preset to 0%. This causes problems in Visio Viewer
(black fill on the test box), so I would like to change the default to 100%
so that in future development I won't have to update each new shape by hand.
Is there a way to do this?
