How can I change office product interface to classical?

I've reached frustration point with the 2007 Office interface. Its
pre-emptive responses and re-arranged graphical interface is about to make me
move to Mac along with a bit of prompting from my daughter. I'm wrtting
lenghty documents 3-6000 words and using excel to graph the data. This used
to be easy but the new interface is driving me to distraction. It seems the
data analysis pack from excel has disappeared with the upgrade to 2007. Does
anyone know how to turn back the interface in word, excel and powerpoint to
classical? Regards, Wayne

Only with third-party add-ons.
You DID trial this new version before buying?

Wayne, I understand exactly how you feel. I am a heavy Excel user myself. I
used the trial version of Office 2007 for almost two months, trying out that
ridiculous Ribbon. I opted to remove Office 2007 completely and go back to
Office 2003.

The only way to get the classic UI is through third party add-ons. Be aware
that you'll have to shell out more $$$ for those. However, you can check out
OpenOffice (www.openoffice.org) or Zoho (www.zoho.com). The latter is a
web-based suite of office apps.

If you would, please take the time to register your vote/comments at the
following link.

That survey clearly indicates that a majority of Excel users dislike the
Ribbon, even after using it for a while.

HTH!
